Welcome to Whole Community Faith Formation!
At Queen of Peace, we believe that faith is a lifelong journey. Our Sunday Religious Education program is designed to nurture the spiritual growth of our youngest to oldest members. Helping all family members develop a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith in a welcoming and engaging environment.
Program Overview
Whole Community Faith Formation (WCFF) classes are held every Sunday between the Masses, from 9:45 to 10:45 am. We offer a variety of age-appropriate classes that cater to children from nursery and preschool through high school and adulthood. Each class focuses on the teachings of the Catholic Church, Scripture, prayer, and the importance of community and service.
Our Classes
3-6 year-old: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Introduction to the life of the Church, parables, and infancy narratives.
7-8 year-old: Preparation for First Communion, including lessons on the Eucharist and Reconciliation.
9-12 year-old: Exploration of the Old and New Testaments, virtues, and the lives of saints.
Middle School: Preparation for Confirmation. A deeper dive into the Sacraments, Church teachings, and moral decision-making.
High School: Preparation for Confirmation if needed, or a student-led bible study with faith development through discussions on contemporary issues in light of Church teaching.
Enrollment Information
We welcome new students at any time! However, if preparing for a sacrament, children may have to defer a year depending on how much content was missed. To enroll, please complete the registration form and register at the parish if you haven’t already.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Whole Community Faith Formation and growing together in faith!
