Are you interested in making a difference in our children’s lives? We invite you to share your time and talents in our various ministries. Whether you’re a teacher, helper, or simply willing to lend a hand, your support is invaluable.

Catechist for Children’s Ministries

We are looking for Catechists! As a catechist, you would teach weekly Sunday classes to children in one of the following age groups:  1st grade, Sacramental Preparation (students in Grades 2-5 receiving Reconciliation and First Communion), Grade 3, and Grade 4/5. The Children’s Ministry Coordinator will help you prepare engaging lessons and activities that foster an understanding of the Catholic faith, using curriculum and your creativity.

We are also looking for catechists and aides for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (3-6 year olds) on Tuesday evenings from 3:30-5:30.

Substitute Catechists

We are always looking for Catechist subs. This is a great way to serve if you have limited time. We will put your name on a contact list when our catechists are sick or out of town.

Classroom Assistants

If you want to help in the classrooms with less responsibility, you can be an assistant and help with crafts and activities. This is especially needed in CGS and 1st grade.

Nursery Volunteers

Join our nursery team to provide a safe and loving environment for our youngest parishioners (infant-3). The nursery is provided during WCFF hours during the school year. We also welcome teenage volunteers, and we can sign off on community service hours for school. As a nursery volunteer, you are responsible for caring for infants and toddlers. You will need to engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.

Material Making for WCFF

Help us create a rich learning environment for our WCFF Classes and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program! This behind-the-scenes role involves crafting and organizing materials used in our atrium and classrooms. You will help create, assemble, and organize hands-on materials for lessons, as well as collaborate with other volunteers to ensure our environment is prepared for children.

WCFF Greeter

Hold the door and greet families at the start and end of classes every Sunday.

Parent Chaperone

Assist in various roles as a chaperone during field trips, events, retreats, parties, and activities as needed.
