Jeremiah 15:16: "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart; for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts."
1 Thessalonians 2:13: "And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers."
2 Timothy 3:16: "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE
- Fully initiated member of the Catholic Church (i.e. Has received Baptism, Confirmation & Holy Eucharist)
- Good proclamation and pronunciation skills and a willingness to improve
- Free of any canonical penalty (please ask if you have questions)
- Distinguished in his or her Christian life, faith and morals
Short List of Duties/ Responsibilities
- Welcomes parishioners at the beginning of Mass and announces Gathering Song
- Proclaims the Scripture readings of the day (First and Second Readings, Responsorial Psalm if not sung)
- Leads the congregation in the Universal Prayers (when a deacon is not available)
